Responding to specific requirements in terms of technical content, comfort and user-friendliness both for patients often with very reduced mobility, and for the medical staff, this Traumatology and Rehabilitation Centre is a judicious marriage between the architectures of the past and of today. The extension of the hospital is linked harmoniously with the existing building. The project is also characterised by the highlighting of the qualities of the building created by Victor Horta by reassigning to it its original function as the main entrance. A functional patio has been specially designed to offer patients the benefit of the natural charm of the site, while having at their disposal an ergonomic route enabling them, as appropriate to follow their various mobility treatments.
