This project consists of 9 apartment buildings and the transformation of an abandoned farm in to a prestige, single family residence. It has been developed based on the topographical characteristics of the site, of its neighbouring urban environment and of its natural environment, as it is located fewer than 60 m from a Natura 2000 listed zone. This special feature led the designers to accord greater importance to the ecological considerations of the project, such as maintaining the green spaces, the creation of a promenade, maintaining areas of late mowing and passages for fauna to roam between the Woluwe Lakes and the Soignes Forest. Other considerations related to the development of the blue network, the creation of promenades and plots, or the management of parking spaces outside the buildings. The objective is definitively to develop an open park of high environmental quality, not only to enrich the character of the residences that are built there but also the life of the district with which it is connected.
