From the outset, research for the ground plan was oriented towards the imposing end of the scale. This has enabled a dense ensemble to be achieved and a maximum volume of space to be liberated on the ground for allocation to the green spaces of the park. A regular frame has been established, leading to an efficient structural rationale for the entire project, which is both simple and flexible. To avoid the impression of a rigid, monolithic “bar”, an entire series of studies were carried out on the frame in order to introduce variations in mass and offsets in the plane of the facades. In order to optimise the space available in the residences, the apartments have all been provided with vast terraces, judiciously oriented and designed in order to ensure the privacy of the occupants. Special attention has been paid to the quality of access to sunlight in the living spaces, both by using the orientation of the apartments and also the dimension of the openings.
