inclusive architecture

architecture only exists in its relationship with people

For assar, inclusive architecture is one that takes into account the needs and diversity of everyone.

It is inventive, evolving in its form and accessible to all in its use.

inclusion is co-creation

Designing places and spaces for the activities of each individual, responding to their aspirations, respecting the environment, integrating technologies and safety standards are all part of co-creation.

Co-creation proposes a vision of architecture that is beneficial to all, rooted in the present and looking to the future.

to include is to evolve

Inclusive architecture conceives and designs the places of well-being and good living of today and tomorrow.

Our history

In 1985, Eric Ysebrant de Lendonck created assar, supported by Pierre Maurice Wéry, Juliette Sindorf, Martine Mordant, and Georges Mordant. Right from the outset, the five founding partners – including through the name itself – assar is an abbreviation for association of architects – determined the fundamentals of the practice, which, 40 years later, has a staff of nearly 160 colleagues
